Program Descriptions:
Boys Regional Program
San Diego Shorebreak will field teams to compete specifically at the
Southern California regional level. This program is much like the Quiksilver
program however teams will not compete at the national level. Therefore,
fees are minimized for regional teams due to a lesser traveling schedule. As
with Quiksilver teams, the age definitions, as established by USA Volleyball
(the National Governing Body of Volleyball in the U.S.), can be seen here:
Age
Definitions for Junior Volleyball.

Boys Developmental
San Diego Shorebreak will field teams to compete in the 14 & under division.
This program will start in September and run until June. The 14 & under
division is typically for Middle School aged youth. During
the season, the teams attend numerous one-day tournaments, organized by the
Southern California Volleyball Association (SCVA), which take place in Los
Angeles and Orange County. They also participate in three major tournaments:
the 2-day Holiday Classic in December, the 3-day SCVA Invitational in
January, and the 4-day Junior Boys Classic in June, which take place in Los
Angeles and Orange County. These teams also have the option to attend the
Boys Junior Olympics at the end of the season (this would entail additional
fees and all parents would have to agree).
