April, 2012 - Shorebreak Player signs with USC!!

4/17/12 - Shorebreak player signs with USC!!! Shorebreak would like to congratulate Tyler Ortman on signing with USC to become a Trojan for the 2012-2013 seasons. Tyler will be coached by Bill Ferguson and will the playing in one of the nation’s top volleyball programs. We wish Tyler good luck in all of his future endeavors at USC!!!

April, 2012 - Coach of the Year!!

Shorebreak would like to congratulate Travis Lee for leading Grossmont College to the State Semi Finals!

Travis was named Coach of the Year.

January, 2012 - Shorebreak 17 Quiksilver wins NCVA Qualifier!!!

This last weekend Directors Bjorn Dahl and Ted Summers- Torres flew to San Francisco with Travis Lee and his 17 Quiksilver team to see if they could earn an early bid to the Open Division at the Junior Nationals. Shorebreak's 16 Mikasa team and Coach Aaron French also flew out to earn a possible bid in their age group. Both teams play well and finished with winning records. Shorebreak's 16 Mikasa ended the tournament 6-1 short of earning a bid.
 

Shorebreak's 17 Quiksilver team took home the title on Sunday night beating Diablo Valley in the finals of the 17's age group, clinching the early bid for the 17 Quiksilver team. We would like to Congratulate both teams and coaches for a great weekend. We would also like to thank our parents for flying out, helping, and supporting our boys!!

January, 2012 - Shorebreak 16 QS and 15 QS place 3rd at the SCVA Boy's Junior National Qualifier!!!

The SCVA Boy's Junior National Qualifier may be considered one of the biggest and most important tournaments of the year. As the last tournament of the Fall Season, it is also the only SCVA tournament to earn a Junior National Open Bid (highest level national tournament for boys). Teams come from all over the country for the opportunity to earn a bid and see where they match up in one of the strongest volleyball regions in the nation, the SCVA.

This weekend Shorebreak Volleyball Club had a great showing to end the first half of the season. 14QS, 15QS, and 16 QS have all earned Open Bids, joining our 17QS team who earned a bid to the Open Division last weekend. Shorebreak will be sending the most teams to the elite Open Division of the Junior Nationals this year in the county.

Shorebreak would like to congratulate its 16 Quiksilver and 15 Quiksilver teams to their respective 3rd place finishes at this tournament! Great job boys!

October , 2011 - Shorebreak signs with Quiksilver!!!

San Diego Shorebreak has finalized a Silver Sponsorship with the Quiksilver Company for the 2011-2012 season!!! Our top teams will now be called Shorebreak Quiksilver Teams. Our second elite teams will be call Shorebreak Mikasa Teams. We are elated to have been recognized by the Quiksilver Company and are pleased to announce our organization to be the only Quiksilver Club in our region. Uniforms to come in November and much more later on!!!

July , 2011 - JO All Tournament

Shorebreak would like to Congratulate Alec Tollgaard and Jake Reeves for receiving All-Tournament Team Honors at the Junior Nationals in Minneapolis for the 16 & under age division. These two players are Shorebreak's first All- Tournament Team players in our club's history!!! Great Job Boys!!!
